Music at their own pace.
Every child experiences music differently.
TFC Music Explorers is a small-group music class designed for children who may benefit from a calmer environment, smaller group and more flexible pace of learning.
We explore rhythm, listening, counting, movement, coordination and simple musical activities before gradually introducing playing.
No pressure. No rushing. Just music, exploration and progress.
A Different Way to Learn Music
Some children don’t fit comfortably into a regular music class.
They may need more repetition, more time to process instructions, a smaller group or a different approach to learning.
That’s where Music Explorers comes in.
Classes are structured around the individual needs and pace of the children in the group.
We may explore:
- Clapping and rhythm
- Counting beats
- Listening and responding to music
- Simple musical games
- Coordination
- Following patterns
- Exploring sounds
- Keyboard basics
- Playing simple melodies
The goal isn’t to rush towards a particular syllabus.
The goal is to help each child discover that they can make music.
Who Is It For?
Music Explorers may be suitable for children who benefit from additional support or a different learning environment, including children with certain learning, developmental or attention-related needs.
Every child is different.
We therefore speak with parents before enrolling a student to understand their needs and determine whether the class is an appropriate fit.
This is music education, not music therapy or clinical treatment.
