The Dholak Classes at The First Chord Music & Art School offers students a comprehensive exploration of this traditional instrument, starting with its history and cultural significance in Indian folk music. Students will learn about the dholak’s structure, including the dayan and bayan heads, while practicing proper posture and hand positioning.

Fundamental strokes and rhythmic patterns, such as Teentaal and Dhamar, will be introduced to develop finger strength and coordination.
